There has been war throughout human history. Where does war come from? How will they end? Is there hope for world Peace? These are questions in the hearts and minds of people throughout the world. The United Nations was even founded in an effort to maintain and seek world peace. After the Second World War its purpose was stated in its charter: ‘We the peoples of the United Nations determined to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war, which twice in our lifetime has brought untold sorrow to mankind,…’ (http://www.un.org/en/sections/un-charter/preamble/index.html)
I promise you that the title isn’t meant to be clickbait. Anxiety is a very real thing that we feel as human beings, and the Scriptures are replete with comforts and corrections for us in our worries. Rather what I mean by “nobody struggles with anxiety” is that an individual’s battle against anxiety is never a war against anxiety particularly. They may feel anxiety and that anxiety may produce a great deal of pain in their hearts, but anxiety is always a product of some greater issue. Continue reading Nobody Struggles With Anxiety
Another excellent, convicting sermon from the recent Youth Group Retreat at Letourneau Christian Center. Here he springs off from his Sermon on Acts 4 and explains the need for community in order to make an impact for Christ. Do we want our Youth Group to thrive and bear fruit and lead many to Christ? Then we need to make sure our conduct is in line with our calling, we need to be a tight unit praying for each other, and we need to know the gospel inside and out and preach it!
